ABOUT THE ESS TALENT POOL

The ESS Talent Pool is a collection of profiles and candidate resumes that have been forwarded by some of the top executive talent in the country. A private and confidential service offered by ESS to the professional community, the Talent Pool allows professionals at a senior level who are interested in exploring new opportunities to do so discreetly through the ESS client base.

ESS alone has access to this proprietary information and it is released to third parties only with the prior express permission of the Pool member. No fees are ever required from any of the professionals included in the ESS Talent Pool and no outside party has direct access to the Pool. ESS has been operating its Talent Pool since 1998 without a single violation of this privacy policy. 

Having been the first service of its type, prototyped in 1997, the ESS Talent Pool has an unrivaled depth and breadth. Many Pool members have gone on to become, and are now, CEO's and CFO's, for example, with major national and internationally prominent firms in the ESS operating sectors. 

Unique among on-line resources of this type, the Talent Pool contains only the credentials of professionals that have either personally contacted ESS for the purpose of confidential representation, or those that have been identified and contacted by ESS personally and invited to participate in an executive search project. 

The ESS Talent Pool contains no public domain resumes, credentials submitted by third parties or CV's culled from any other on-line database or source. This resource's  membership is private, exclusive, inimitable and of the highest caliber. 

The ESS Talent Pool is not the largest of its type, not has it ever aspired to be. Rather, quality not quantity has been the overriding goal of the Talent Pool.

THE POOL PARTICIPANTS

The Talent Pool contains profiles of some of the top domestic and international executive talent in management today. A broad range of disciplines including; management, marketing, finance, law, engineering, research, MIS and more are represented. All operate in their respective specialties in an industry represented in the ESS practice sectors. Many are associated with leading firm's in their respective sectors at the highest levels of achievement.

  • What sets the ESS Talent Pool apart is the caliber of the talent represented;

Presidents, Board Members, General Managers, CEO's , COO's, CFO's, CIO's, Sr VP's, VP's, Directors and Senior Program & Project Managers are all part of the pool as well as accomplished senior technical and creative professionals. Pool participant's cash compensation levels, for example,  range from  approximately $100,000 to $400,000 and above.

  • The geographic locations represented;

Virtually every metro area in North America is represented. Talent Pool Participants are located in Silicon Valley, Silicon Alley, Santa Monica, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Boston, Austin, Washington D.C. metro, Denver, Seattle, Atlanta,  the Midwest, the Southwest and the South. International areas represented include Hong Kong, China, Paris, London, Rome, Milan, Asia, Europe and other locals around the world. Even with this representation, most will consider relocation for the appropriate opportunity.

Most presently hold influential positions with Fortune 50, 150 or 500 companies, respected emerging or specialty firms or renowned consulting firms. Many top male and female executives from North America and around the world are members. Creative talent is represented with many senior level Creative and Marketing Directors from major agencies and well know firms taking part.

THE WAY IT WORKS

ESS maintains a collection of electronic candidate profiles in order to facilitate career transitions for Talent Pool participants. ESS client companies and consulting clients in the search industry receive access to the this top tier of executive talent through ESS.

All ESS search executions and consulting assignments include a detailed analysis of Talent Pool participant backgrounds conducted confidentially by ESS staff. This analysis identifies the top prospects and contacts each individually to qualify their interest level and gain permission for their nomination. 

The highest levels of personal privacy are upheld - no third party has direct access to the ESS talent Pool and Pool participants are contacted directly for permission before the release of any forwarded information takes place. 

Through networking outside of formal retained search commissions ESS also, at times, becomes aware of opportunities that could benefit Pool participants and discreet steps are taken to connect interested parties in these cases as well.

Talent Pool participants also have the option to personally author and publish a summary profile that will appear on the ESS Talent Map if they wish. This ess candidate service is an entirely elective process that may fit the needs and career plans of some members.  As with all ess candidate services, the Talent Map profile is gratis.

A WORD ABOUT CONFIDENTIALLY

ESS insures the confidentially of all Talent Pool participant profiles. No information forwarded by a Talent Pool participant is ever released to a prospective employer without the prior express permission of that individual. All analysis of the ESS talent pool is conducted by ESS staff. No third parties are given access to this information directly in any format and the Talent Pool is not accessible via the internet.

Upon closer inspection you will find that other services do not provide this level of confidentiality.

ESS confidentiality polices do not end with Talent Pool Participants. All information regarding search commissions (or prospective commissions) is strictly confidential and released only with prior express permission, per the instructions of the ESS client company.
